Today is Cyber Monday, the busiest internet retailing day of the year. So if you haven’t yet started your Christmas shoppng now is the time to get started. Beat those resolutions from last year, not to leave it to the last minute.
With a newborn in the house online shopping has been my saviour this time around. I am a brave lady but not crazy! Shopping with three, including a newborn is not Continue reading
Here at The Flower Stork we ensure all of our bouquets look stunning. But what’s on the inside is as important to us as what’s on the outside. The aim of our Baby Clothes Bouquets is to be a stunning AND practical gift for a new baby. So the clothes inside have to stand up to the rigours of laundry for a 3-6 month old.
If you are a Flower Stork regular you will have noticed Continue reading
Teachers get far too many flowers on the last day of term and probably have drawers crammed full of ‘best teacher’ paraphanalia. So we first put these together as end of year gifts for my daughters teachers and they were a real hit, just the right size.
We are pleased to introduce the petite version of our origional boxed chocolate bouquets to the range, including a couple of festive Continue reading
When is November not November, when it is Movember!
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
On Movember 1st, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shave face and then for the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Mo Sistas are the women who register to support the men in their lives, raising funds by seeking sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
Mo Bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November and through their actions and words raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.
At the end of the month, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas celebrate their gallantry and valor by either throwing their own Movember party or attending one of the infamous Gala Partés held around the world by Movember, for Movember.
Breast Cancer Research has made huge advances in recent years through funding raised supporting ‘Pink’ campaigns. It is great to see men in on the fun of raising funds to support cancer reasrch in areas that have been less well supported in the past. Lets hope that through initiatives such as this we are one step closer to eliminating cancers.

We generally advise that if it is a new baby gift it can take new parents a few days/weeks to get around to their thank you’s as they are lost in the baby fog. So I decided to text or FB friends and family when gifts arrive just to say a quick thanks it has arrived safely and thank you.
I want to follow-up these with a Thank You/Birth Announcement card. In a modern world where we increasingly use online technology to communicate I thought it would be nice Continue reading
